As I always check who’s at the door through one of those spyholes before opening my front door & don’t open it to anyone I don’t know, Mr/Ms Council Jobsworth are out of luck with me I think. Anyone who breaks in because the door isn’t opened will be considered an intruder & treated accordingly. I’ll then claim that I hadn’t a clue who/why they were & was terrified that they were drug fuelled thugs bent on thievery.

Quite right Alex. Thoroughly agree with this; nobody should be allowed to enter your home without a warrant from a magistrate.
Alarming that they can do so on the pretence of checking your pot plants or the energy usage of your refrigerator, but that does beg the question, what were our MPs thinking when they voted this legislation through?!
