Setting a bad example on DNA

Dna You have probably seen that Barack Obama is considering a national (rather than State-based) DNA database in the USA.

Which nation is being used as the cautionary tale in that debate?

    The USA has an open book of signed blank cheques from the PRC: it is hardly surprising that the USA is embracing policies which would be pleasing to the PRC.

    Sounds like Gordon Brown. Problem here is that Gordy doesn’t have access to the PRC funds like Obama.

    Gordon will always get on with the job…..The security industrial complex will be licking their lips at all the lovely DNA to harvest and sell on licence at a profit to other private companies to reduce levels of care and insurance….oh and of course lest we forget to keep us safe in our beds from trillions of evildoers intent on slaughtering us all….I mean look at the massive 0.3% of crimes solved in the UK as a result of DNA harvest…..What an unassailable argument…..So obviously the right thing to do for the whole world…..Yeah…………

    I’ll give it 5 years before this DNA is used by “insurance” companies and/or Vetting and Barring to “validate” …. will I never get to Saturn now.
    In the not too distant future DNA will play the primary role in determining social class.

    Obama is sooooo much better than Bush because he’s black. But wait a minute, he’s not black; or at least he’s no more black than he is white. In fact Obama is not what people think he is. He’s also left-handed which means that writing out all those zeros on the PRC chequebook can be a bit of a challenge, esp when using a fountain pen; still not to worry ’cause Obamacare may be too much even for the PRC to bankroll, the chequebook taken back and the credit limit on the PRC credit card drastically and suddenly reduced.
