The picture below was sent in to Big Brother Watch overnight. The photo was taken by a supporter who had spotted the board at the cashiers of a Starbucks in Oregon.

    Given the current climate you are right to be concerned but this all sepends on context. When I was a wee nipper we had a visit to the police station and we were ‘processed’ fingerprints taken and put in a cell (for around a munite) – It was a great way to keep me on the straight an narrow and the police made community contacts.
    Nowadays can we trust the police not to keep the data. That is the question!

    There are two police forces in this country. The ones involved with local beats, and the “big boys” who ride roughshod over anyone and know if they accidentally kill you, they’ll go free – or at least have a good chance of going free.
    As the editor of our local community newspaper in Finchley, I have contact with the local bobbies and they are good decent people. When asked if they would like one of the more high profile and exciting jobs they almost spit in their abhorrence of the idea.
