Emma Carr joined Big Brother Watch as Deputy Director in February 2012 having worked for political c
ampaign and research groups in the UK. She was actively involved in politics at university having been a regional chairman for Conservative Future at the time of the 2010 general election.
Emma graduated from Northumbria University in 2010 with a degree in History and Politics and is currently studying towards a part time MSc in Public Services Policy and Management at King’s College London. She has a particular interest in cyber security and cyber crime, which forms the topic of her dissertation.
Emma regularly featured on radio and television during the general election, including appearances on the Today Programme, Victoria Derbyshire, Woman’s Hour and BBC News 24. She has also written for The Commentator, Conservative Home and The Blue Blog.
